Hollie Gilson is a visual artist living and working in Dublin. She graduated from the National College of Art and Design with a degree in Fine Art Printmaking in 2021.
Gilson works across the mediums of printmaking, paint, photography and video.
She examines the experience of living in a city and the way in which we coexist in the urban space. Gilson is concerned with how an individual can exist in isolation whilst still surrounded by life.
The architecture of the changing city is also an inspiration to the artist; the juxtaposition between urban decay, and the gentrification surrounding her. Interested in showing her place in the city, Gilson is also keenly aware of those around her.
